In regards to the debate last night, I thought it was boring. I did not learn anything new about either candidate.

I wish they would change the format and let the two talk directly to each other, rather than letting the moderator control everything.

I couldn't agree with you more. These are not debates, these are live campaign ads. And neither of them has a clue about the economy.

Sex ed for Kindergartners?! Really?! My daughter is in grade K. I cannot imagine. This is appalling to say the least.

One of the daycares my daughter went to was the largest, most respected Christian child development centers in the Metroplex. And then it was found out that one of the teachers had not only been molesting the three and four year olds, but also photographing them and sharing them on the internet.

Luckily my child wasn't touched- but she was the ONLY one taught at home things to watch out for. Every, let me stress- EVERY other child there, their parents were afraid of the "sex ed for kindergartners" so it was never discussed.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your kids are already getting sex ed. The only choice is do we want to come up with a program like Obama suggested, where they are taught the difference between bad and good touches, or do you want the child molesters to teach them. Unfortunately, leaving it to the home doesn't work.

These people who fell for the shock and fear of how the republicans operate need to go back to worrying about the flag being removed from Obama's plane.

This video was so pathetic and ignorant. I look forward to seeing how much you Rebulicans continue to kiss McCains ass when he (just like Bush) sink this country even further. But what does that matter eh?

Here is a simple example of how your precious video of truth is full of BS:

you've shown the vote on nov 4th after it came back from the house. the bill was originally passed in the senate may 6th by a margin of 54 to 44.

Question: On Passage of the Bill (S.900 as amended )
Vote Date: May 6, 1999, 08:14 PM
Vote Result: Bill Passed

McCain (R-AZ), Yea
Biden (D-DE), Nay

can't be bothered with the rest of the video if that's how you misrepresent facts.

Pass that on.

Regarding sex ed for kindergartners...This should be the responsibility of any parent. I got along just fine with my parents telling me not to talk to strangers, and so did my brothers. It's not about what is being taught and when so much as it is about the government interfering in the way you raise your kids.

If the government is going to take control of the way you raise your kids and what you tell them about life and the world and what's out there and when, what next will the government take over from you as a parent?

I don't know about you, but I don't want the government messing with my personal life or my family or what I choose to teach them and when. The government doesn't know my kids. It's my repsonsibility to know what they can handle and when to provide information regarding sex education, regarding touching, and about every other item that is part of growing up as a child and every other item that is my responsibility to impart as a parent.

Megan, you are welcome to comment on my blog in a rational way. I ask my commenters to be respectful and to be civil. If you can't do that, please refrain from commenting or reading this blog. As you have not provided any way for me to reply to you other than here in this commenting section, let me just say that you are entitled to write whatever rebuttal you wish on your own blog. But the assumptions you make, the namecalling you do just shows what some Americans believe to be effective arguing. Unfortunately, that's all too common with the democratic party this year, which is one reason why I'm voting republican for the first time in my life.

There are many complex issues out there and my post encourages all to find their own answers and to review all documents before you blindly believe anything you hear from any candidate as fact--as they are all spinning and misrepresenting real events.

Matthew, I so get the intent behind this post. It seems that most people with blogs consider themselves some sort of political experts. I find very few that promote an unbiased, well-informed, point of view. Most of them are just hateful posts.

Hi Matt,
I like the video. I had to stop it to really read what I was suppose to be reading. Am not a very fast reader. Thank you for giving us unbiased proofs to refute false claims and accusations out there that are rampant in this campaigh.

Interesting points, albeit from a fanatical "base" perspective.

However that video was boring and the music was terrible. Not the way to win people over.
